While I never need a rhyme or reason to give my friends wings, this one actually does have a specific inspiration!

Years ago, I read a children's book about Ostara, a pagan goddess of spring whose celebrations inspire many of our modern day easter traditions, and she saved a wounded or frozen bird by turning it into a hare.

In my mind that hare had wings. Now that I read up on them today, I find that they did not in fact have wings in the mythology, but in my world they still do.

Easter Garden is an archival print of my original ink and watercolor illustration.

It is inkjet printed with archival pigment inks on acid free, pH neutral fine art paper.

The 8x10 and 5x7 are printed on Torchon paper, a high quality pure cellulose watercolor paper made by Hahnemuele. This is a beautifully textured paper, making it look like an original watercolor painting.

The mini is printed on Smooth Matte fine art paper, which is a 100% cotton hot press paper.

This is the most amazing pen I've ever had...

This is the most amazing pen I've ever had. I have Ehlers-Danlos so I struggle with chronic pain, muscle spasms, and a bad hand tremor. I was looking for pens that wouldn't cause hand cramps and that might keep my tremor from ruining my handwriting, but all I could find were massive, ugly pens advertised to the elderly and usually would have some sort of arthritic brand name with a medical cross next to it. Talk about depressing; I'm 25, I don't want to be reminded that I have physical issues of an 80 y/o. Then I found oakring's etsy and fell in love with the gorgeous art and design. So, I took a chance and bought the unicorn and moon large grip pen. My handwriting has never been neater and handcramps are virtually non-existent now. And, its such a whimsical, beautiful writing instrument. Well worth the price.

I have to write in a lab book for my job....

I have to write in a lab book for my job. Arthritis makes writing with thin pens painful. I could write all day with this pen. It keeps my hand relaxed so my fingers don't cramp nor do the joints in my pinky start hurting. I don't have to stop every few minutes to massage my fingers. It just so happens the project we are working on is the “Pegasus Project.” I love this pen.
